1.The state Department of Transportation is posting new signs on Richardson Highway bridges near North Pole that state the weight limit is 80 tons, because heavily loaded tractor-trailers have been using the bridge without a permit.

2. Three candidates are running for state House District 36, an enormous rural district that wraps around Fairbanks and encompasses most of the Interior.

3. Searchers from Sitka have recovered the body of a hunter who died in a brown bear attack last weekend.

4. An Alaskan veteran has formed an organization that helps other vets stay warm during winter and improve their quality of life.
